Many thinking individuals (who have not lost the patience to read this post) have an issue with the terms “influencer”. While we may listen to knowledgeable or skillful people who have something to share on social media, we don’t see how we can be influenced by folks who simply show off their nails 💅, their lingerie collections and their lavish lifestyles.
They may have millions of fans, but the things they do can be accomplished by any narcissistic sociopath.
Courtney Clenney, who used the name Courtney Tailor in her 18+ online business, made over US$3 million from the adult industry since 2020 and boasts more than 2 million Instagram followers. Not surprisingly, she has been the envy of many budding influencers, having achieved fame and fortune in her 20s.
None of the folks she had “influenced” would have dreamed of the situation she’s now in. After making a 911 call on 3 April 2022 and following police interrogation, Courtney Clenney admitted to stabbing her boyfriend of 2 years, Christian “Toby” Obumseli. However, she told investigators that she was acting in self-defence. Courtney Clenney was initially charged with murder but shockingly, the police later agreed with the 26-year-old’s account of the incident which took place at their luxury apartment in Miami, Florida.
After further investigations, with the victim’s family going on social media to present their evidence, officers charged her with second-degree murder in December 2022. Clenney’s lawyer, Frank Prieto, said he was “completely shocked” by her arrest, and added: “We look forward to clearing her name in court.”
Again, saying that I don’t judge means that being in porn star or doing x-rated stuff does not automatically make one more likely to be guilty of murder. Pornstars can definitely be kind and considerate people, but from the testimonies and evidence (watch video), Courtney Clenney appears to be a narcissistic spoilt brat. If you have been following the development of her relationship with Toby and pick up the evidence and statements of how she had been abusing him both physically and mentally, it’s likely that you’ll also be inclined to believe that she killed him. Nevertheless, this case is still pending and I look forward to a fair verdict.
Watch the video and let me know. Attractive/enticing pictures and video clips on social media don’t tell us much about the star being featured. We ought to be careful about who our influencers are. Many are spreading a narcissistic epidemic.
